On the Rocks

Tonight I have failed to do something that I don't understand and now my girlfriend is mad at me.  Here is the conversation:


Her:   :)

Me:  What's up

Her:  Hi

Me:  Hello

Her:  It is like pulling teeth with you babe...

Me:  Sorry

Me:  I'm hungry

Her:  That's not helping your cause

Me:  hunger is always a worthy cause    Especially mine

Her:  Omg.  You genuinely don't get it.



And that was the last text I received from her tonight.  I know for certain that she is mad or disappointed but I am not sure what the issue is.  I thought she just wanted me to try to make conversation with her but it seems like something else.

I think past adventures have conditioned me to pull back and say less at the first sign of trouble, and that is the opposite of what she wants, which is to be showered with affection.  I could be wrong though.

Whatever happens, it was nice to be with someone for a while.  She was a lot more pleasant than a lot of the girls I've hung around.

Weirdly, now I'm not hungry.
