I don't know what mechanism they are using to prevent people from buying multiple cards.  I would guess that if you tried to use two of these cards with the same amazon account, you would run into a problem.  Yeah, I guess I'm not going to try to scam it, because I don't have an alternate address.

Oh, man, and someone just mentioned the Monty Hall problem on this chatter mailing list at work.  For those of you unfamiliar with this little gem, the Monty Hall problem is a misleading probability puzzle that can initially confuse most people that only have a college-level understanding of probability & statistics, and, in my experience, it takes at least two to twenty minutes to convince a reasonable person of the correct solution.  Try to imagine a puzzle like this being discussed on a mailing list where idiots compete to talk over each other with their lame jokes and arguments and don't listen, except for the sake of adjusting their rebuttal.  I hate this mailing list, but I keep coming back because I am so, so bored.

Ironic:  When I first joined this company, I thought these people were smart.

Zodiac signs have changed, or something.  I don't know anything about the mechanism that caused this, but since I'm supposed to be writing my Peer Reviews today, I plan to read up on it and then figure out a way to demonstrate my severe contempt for astrology.  I may start writing those things...horoscopes.
